DVD Inport help

I have Movie Studio 8.0 and in the File menu there is an option that says Import DVD.

It does not work for all my DVDs just ONE of them.

Why and can DVD Arcitect compy DVDs or import DVDs or take Clips from DVDs?

They are all Reagin 1. DVDs and from the USA.

How do I check to see what region my DVD Rom Drive is set to?
I can play my DVDs ok on my computer so I thought it was set to Region 1.

Does it matter and why??

You should be fine then.

Double click on My Computer, right click on your DVD drive, choose Properties, click on the Hardware tab, choose the DVD drive again and click the Properties button, click the DVD Region tab. That's were you'll see what it's set to. Most likely Region 1.

OK then, explain in a little more detail how it's not working for you, do you get any error messages?

If these are commercial dvd's you cannot import them, they are copy protected.
