DVD locks up when playing a DVD

I'm extremely frustrated. I have DVD Architect 3 and after burning a DVD with it, when I play the DVD in any DVD player, some of the movies lock the DVD player up. I have have rendered the videos in every format known to man from what the manual says to do to uncompressed. My bitrate is fine, I've prepared the project, I've done all the things that the forums have said to do. Why would some of the videos be locking up?

What media are you using? What burner are you using? What speed are you burning at? What is the dye of the disc? What are the DVD players you have actually tried it on (brand names)? Will they play on a computer DVD drive? Have you tried just preparing in DVDA3 and burning in NERO and burning to a +R and setting the book type to ROM?

When does the player lock up? Soon as it starts reading the disc? After the main menu has loaded (assuming you're using a menu)? During the video? If during the video, how far into it?

You say your bitrate is 'fine," but what bitrate are you using?

After you've prepared the project, can you view it okay in a software based player? (Most, like PowerDVD, will let you load the IFO or BUP files from the prepared folder.) And can you view the burned disc okay within the software based player?
