dvd MENU flickers on final product

So we all know about the "flickering" stuff, right?
like on Vegas Video, after you make something and mix it down, and watch it on tv, and it looks flickery and stuff....and to get rid of it you put it on "re sample" and "reduce interlace flicker" or something like that.

WELL, I just made my first dvd. Everything about it rules, except the menu has that terrible flicker on it. It kinda makes me want to havea seizure! It's subtle, but enough to drive a man crazy! haha.

All that it is, is a still image, with 2 menu choices, and audio. Simple menu.

Anyway, how can i get rid of this?

THANKS A MILLION

Is the still image just that, I mean an external still?
You could try converting it to an avi of say 20 seconds in Vegas, set the media properites to 'reduce interlace flicker', bring that into DVD and see if thet cures it.

You can actually reduce interlace flicker on a still too. Also, make sure your still is NTSC (or pal) compliant. I had problems with a recent project of mine and it was all because the colors were outside of NTSC capabilities!
