DVD Menus Disappear

I have just created a DVD project in DVDA 5.0b. There are many menus and submenus. When I preview the project in DVDA, everything works fine but when I go to create and burn the DVD, on playback of the DVD, the screen is black. No menus at all and the video does not play (although I can access the main video from the main DVD player menu). When creating the project in DVDA, sometimes the menu screens would also go black but would come back when I shut down the program and reopened it. This is very frustrating because I've been working on the menus alone for the past three days! I'm using a new Dell PC with Windows 7. Will try on my laptop which is running Vista, but would like to know why the menus are not burning properly to the DVD.

Do you have the menu set as FIRST PLAY. It sounds like it is trying to play something you might have deleted.

I was able to build the DVD with all menus showing properly using my Vaio Laptop with Windows Vista. Must be something in Windows 7 that's not playing nice with DVD Architect.

It does look like a "first play" problem. Were you previewing the whole DVD or just the current menu?

I was just previewing the current menu. What happens is if I click on a different menu page, all of the menus go black in the program itself so even if I try to click on a different page to preview or preview the disk, all I get are black screens with highlight masks. It doesn't just happen in preview mode, but in the building the menus mode as well. I was working on Menu 9 which I could see. I clicked on the Preview Current button and all I got was a black screen with a highlight mask. When I closed the preview, the work space window was also black and if I tried to select a different page, those were black as well. If I shut down DVDA and restarted it, they would come back but the minute I tried to preview the page again, they would all go black. This only happens on my Windows 7 computer. The Vista laptop works fine.

Well, the problem just happened on my Vista laptop as well. Everything was going fine until I added one more link and when I went to preview the page, all of the menus went black except for the highlights. if I try to render the file out, the menus will come out black. It's really annoying that you can't build something with multiple pages without this problem. I don't know if it's something that is a problem with DVDA 5.0 because I never had this problem with 4.5.
