I just rendered an mpeg2 (progressive) made a DVD minus (pioneer) format through DVDit software. I played it for client and it worked fine on my APEX player. I just got a call, she says she has a new player and when she plays it, it stutters and freezes up.......what could this be?

Could it be the label I put on the DVD?

Pls someone help out there in vegas land.

DVD-R compatibility is short of perfect. It could be your label, but more than likely it's the brand of recordable DVD you used. Even the most reliable brands don't work consistently in all players, but these include Pioneer, Apple, and Maxell.

What brand did you use?

Check at http://www.dvdrhelp.com/ for player compatibility. Did you burn a DVD-R or DVD-RW disc? -R is more compatible. Does her player specify that it can read -R/RW and/or +R/RW discs? Most of the newer ones do, but not all.
