DVD Prepare and Burn Problem

I'm using Vegas 6 and DVD Architect 3. I'm trying to burn a DVD of a Vegas project using MPEG-2 video format and AC3 (5.1 surround sound) audio format. The rendering process in Vegas seems to go OK. But when I go into DVD Architect and prepare the project the resulting AUDIO_TS folder is empty, but the VIDEO_TS folder contains several files and seems to be correct. If I then burn this project, the burn process runs to completion without any error messages, but the resulting DVD also contains an empty AUDIO_TS folder, and a VIDEO_TS folder with several files. The resulting DVD will not play in any device know to mankind (or at least me). Any Ideas on how I can fix this problem?

the audio ts folder will always be empty unless it is an audio dvd then the video folder would be empty. This is of no concern for your project as yours is a video project. For it not playing, try burning at the slowest speed available and if you are using -r try +r and if you are using +r try -r format. When you say "any device" do you also mean your computer? If you have a DVD playing program on your computer such as powerDVD etc, or a codec for DVD playback; try inserting your disc in your computer, double click on one of the larger VOB files and see if it will play. Also try the prep folder that DVDA3 saved on your computer- access one of the large VOB files in the video ts folder and double click to see if it will play.
Post back your results.

The DVD won't play on the DVD players hooked-up to our TVs and won't autostart on the DVD on the computer... but, I double clicked on the largest VOB file and could open it with Real Player. Plays video but no audio. I'd really like to get this thing so I can put it in DVD players for TVs with some level of success. Thanks for taking the time to help!

As jrazz says, the AUDIO_TS is always empty.

Things to check:

1. Start DVD Architect, and then open the project for your failed DVD. Use the Preview button to preview the disc. Do you get video and audio when you play the various segments?

2. Put the bad DVD back into the DVD drive, and open Windows Explorer. Select all the files in the VIDEO_TS folder and select Properties. How large are all the files? Also, how many VOB files are there, and what are their names? This is a typical listing for a small project:
VIDEO_TS.BUP 12KB
VIDEO_TS.IFO 12KB
VIDEO_TS.VOB 232KB
VTS_01_0.BUP 36KB
VTS_01_0.IFO 36KB
VTS_01_0.VOB 7,868KB
VTS_01_1.VOB 913,288KB

When I preview the project in DVDA3 it has video and audio, looks fine. The files in the VIDEO_TS folder are as follows:
VIDEO_TS.BUP 12kb
VIDEO_TS.IFO 12kb
VIDEO_TS.VOB 232kb
VTS_01_0.BUP 22kb
VTS_01_0.IFO 22kb
VTS_01_1.VOB 602,182kb
It looks to me like they are all there, and about the right size.

I take that back...I don't see VTS_01_0.VOB
