DVD preview stutters

Here is a head scratcher - when I preview my mpeg-2 in DVD architect (latest version) It stutters like crazy on my AMD dual core machine;

amd x2 4800
asus a8n sli premium
2 gigs corsiar ram
2 raptors raid 0 for OS
4 raptors raid 0 for media

plays back fine on my old Intel p4 2.4 gig machine. Any known issues that I should be looking for? The AMD system has no problems playing this back in windows media player and Vegas works great on it. Thanks a bunch for any ideas.

It may be a problem inherent to the way the software is handled on your AMD system - I know that Pinnacle's "Studio Plus v.10" product has had preview issues that only seem to affect AMD systems...

YoYo, I had a similar problem. Under options, is the Simulate Device Aspect Raio checked? I had to uncheck this item to get mine to stop "stuttering. Other than that, I have no clue - hope this helps. :)
