DVDA does not encode the region areas you can find in most pro DVDs.

So your DVDs can be read anywhere in the world without any problem.

Maybe in future releases but this is often found in very expensives authoring softwares...

Actually, this would be a plus. I'd not want to be forced to encode the region information.

It would be nice in a future release but until then, a program such as IFOEDIT
will allow you can set the region flag bits.
In VIDEO_TS.IFO the VMGM_MAT entry offset 23 holds the region bits.

Use the HEX editor function to clear the bit position of the region you want
enabled.

Example values:
00 is all regions (default and recommended)
7F is region 8 only
FE is region 1 only etc.

You need to know that to test regions you need to have a DVD device for that region.
WARNING: region codes for players either set top or computer DVDrom drives
can only be changed a limited number of times before the unit becomes unusable.
