dvd's don't work

I've made several shows using Vegas Movie Studio and rendered them to DVD Architect. Then, I burn the dvd's. On more than one occasion when playing the dvd in a player using a TV, the show stops and won't continue. I've tried this with different shows and with different dvd's. I have no idea what I'm doing. Any help?

Several possibilities:

Poor media

Older set top player

Set top player prefers +r media or visa versa

The bitrate is set to variable and the gap between the lowest and highest bitrate is too big.

Possible fixes:

Try different media

If you were burning to -r try +r or if it is happening on both try switching the booktype to ROM (can be done in Nero)

Go back and take a look at your encode settings to ensure that the gap is not too big.

Try a different set top player.
