DVD stops at effect transition

I have prepared a 30min video in Vegas Platinum 9 and when I burned a DVD in DVDA it stops at what appears to be a couple of different transition effects i included in the video ( 3D blind changes) If I fast forward at that point with the remote control, it picks back up and continues, but does stop later at a similiar but not identical transition effect. I removed the effect and the problem does not occur. Has this happened to others and is there a fix? Finally on an unrelated issue. The DVD plays on my Blu Ray player ( with the above issues ) but when I play it on my Panasonic DVD player, there is no sound ??????
I'm new to both these softwares, but am comfortable working with both DVDA and Vegas.

The video that's coming out of Vegas -- are you exporting it as a DVD-MPEG before you bring it into DVD Architect? If so, the transition should be a moot point since, as far as DVD Architect is concerned, it's just video data.

As for the Panasonic not being able to play the sound -- I suppose there's the possibility that you're using an audio format it can't read... but that's not terribly likely. But what audio format is DVD Architect outputting? A standard one, like AC3 or PCM?

Yes I'm exporting as a DVD MPEG and then burning in DVDA....I've since found that although one of the stumbles/ freezes was eliminated by eliminating the effect, the other freeze still occurs even with the effect removed.
On the sound issue it is just a standard AC3 format stereo.
I'm still burning more samples to see what is wrong after changing the Vegas file in a minor way, but am very frustrated that this process is wrought with such strange anomolies.

I've also noticed one of the areas that is freezing has the gap between frames in Vegas coloured light blue.....while all the other non freezing areas are white between the frames.
Has this got something to do with the problem?

Forget about the sound or lack of sound on the DVD player.It was my fault with the connections to the TV.....SORRY !
But if someone can throw some light on the freezing issue on play back I would appreciate it.

Sorry I see now the blue gaps just mean I've selected the clip...so that has nothing to do with the problem....I cant find any reason why there is a stumble on playback ??????

In Vegas, are there any markers at the offending transitions?

no there are no markers or any apparent special events now. I originally thought it was a transition effect but that is not the case....I spent last night closely studying the two areas where it is freezing and made numerous new DVDs with slightly adjusted setup, but the freeze still occurs in two locations now.

Does it freeze on other DVD players?
If you play the DVD on your computer, does it freeze?

I'm playing the finished DVD on a Blu Ray player that plays all DVD's as well. It doesn't freeze while in Vegas , but I haven't tried it on my computer DVD player, so cant comment on that. I will try to play it on my computer this Weekend, when I get home.

OK...I.ve fixed it.
I checked the firmware for the Sony BDS-350 Blu Ray player, and it was 1.07. The current firmware on the Sony website is 2.19. So I downloaded and upgraded the firmware.DVD plays thru completely now. I bought the Blu Ray player in January this year, so it's surprising that the firmware is so out of date, but all's well that ends well.Thank you for eveyones assistance.
