DVD To Europe

I need to send a DVD to Italy of a video that I put together in Vegas 4.

Can I just re-render the project using Vegas's DV-PAL template? I use Adobe Encore for my DVD authoring. After I render DV-PAL in Vegas can I then produce the "Italy-playable" DVD by specifying PAL instead of NTSC when I set up the project in Encore?

Yes, Vegas does a very good job of NTSC to PAL conversion. You'll be all set to burn a PAL DVD after that.

I would suggest also sending an NTSC DVD as well as the PAL version. Most European DVD players can play NTSC just fine, and they may do a better job playing a native NTSC disc than a PAL disc converted from NTSC.
