DVD video files

Does anybody really know why when importing a DVD video files (VOB) into video track sometimes the audio of that video clip does not built a peak so I cannot see and hear the sound at all.But sometimes the audio is coming in...Please advise! Thank you so much !

The audio is embedded within the VOB file, if it is AC3 audio Vegas will not be able to import it since it only does AC3 as an ouput format, not input. If it is PCM audio then it should show up when you import the VOB file into Vegas, but since Vegas isn't designed to import VOB's or PCM audio it sometimes works and sometimes doesn't.
