I'm using VF to edit, TMPGEnc to render to Mpeg2, and DVD-lab to author. The final DVD is very dark. I compared it to another DVD created with the cheap S/W I got with my burner (ArcSoft Showbiz and MyDVD) and there is a noticeable difference in brightness levels between the two.
I have seen posts that talk about an update to Vegas 4.0c that fixes an MC problem in VF too, but since I'm not using MC I don't think that will make any difference.
I am trying to pinpoint the source of the problem and I think I have ruled out DVD-lab since it does not alter the Mpeg2 file. That leaves TMPGEnc and VF. I thought about running a test to bring the VF AVI output files into MyDVD and create the VOBS there. That might rule out VF.
Any ideas?
Thanks.
