DVD2AVI

I have used DVD Decryptor to demux a wedding DVD, so I now have an m2v file and an ac3 file. I'm trying to use DVD2AVI to convert the ac3 to a wav file so I can use it in Studio along with the video, but I can't for the life of me figure out HOW to actually do this using DVD2AVI. The support website for it no longer exists.

I've never seen any posts giving details on exactly how to use the program. Could someone please help me out by posting these details, or pointing me to a website that has these details? Or maybe even another program that might work better. Thanks.

Do you have Vegas Studio 6? If so, under the File menu is an import function designed to do exactly this job for you. Pop the DVD in the drive, import it, and you get MPEG files ready for you to work with, audio included.

If you don't have it, i strongly suggest you consider the upgrade. It's only $30 and it will save you tons of effort. You'll get a lot of nifty new features as well.

Chienworks, this sounds great, I remember you suggesting it to me a couple of weeks ago. But I thought some folks (maybe you?) had had some trouble with that feature.

I don't know what version of Studio I have (I bought in a year ago). But I will check. If I need the upgrade, can I get it online?

Just checked the product descriptons. Are you sure you're talking about Movie Studio + DVD, or Vegas 6? There's a big price difference.

I saw in the new features list for Studio that it imports DVDs made from a Sony Handicam. Will this work with other DVDs? Mine was made by a videographer; I don't know what equipment he used.
