DVDA 2.0 "next chapter" button...again

Let me describe my DVD: 15 separate clips on two menus. A third orphaned menu houses my mpegs (I did this because my menus are custom-designed and use masks).

When I played the DVD on a set-top player and in WinDVD, the "next chapter" button would jump to random clips, out of order. I read that I had to order the clip links the way I wanted so that the "next chapter" button would jump to the next video in the correct order. I re-ordered the clips, but the new version acted the same way.

I also want to insert a "Play All" button, and I want users to be able to watch individual clips and then automatically return to menu. Given that I want to do that, what's my best course of action?

Do you think rendering one huge mpeg file and creating chapter marks for each video would be easier?

thanks,
Ben

Well, one advantage to a single large clip with chapter marks will be that next-chapter will work correctly going from chapter to chapter when playing the entire movie.

And if you want to have a scenario where they return to the menu after playing a chapter, you just import the movie into the project as many times as you have chapters, navigate into each movie instance and set in/out points that correspond with the appropriate chapter. I'd also suggest renaming each instance of the movie in the project tree view as you bring them in - possibly to reflect a chapter number or something - makes it easier to set up the links from the menu when they don't all have the same name.

Btw, you don't have to create an orphan menu to house your mpegs, you can just drag the movie file onto the project tree view.
