DVDA 3.0 Hangs when rendering in Make DVD

AndyMack wrote on 11/27/2007, 10:39 AM
When i try to make my dvd, i click the Make DVD tab, then prepare. Select my folder. Then in the rendering process it just freezes my whole pc. I have to do a hard reboot to get the PC working again.

Ive tried reinstalling both Vegas and DVD Archietect to solve the problem but it doesnt seem to have fixed anything. The longest it goes before hanging has been 4 mins 30 seconds. I dont know if it only does it with this DVD creation. I managed to get it to make a different DVD but it took several attempted before it completed it without freezing,

Can anyone help?

Andy

Which build of DVD Architect are you using (Find out by going to Help > About DVD Architect.)? Be sure you're using the most current update for your version.

What brand and model is your DVD burner? Does the manufacturer have any firmware updates for it? How is the burner connected (IDE, SATA, USB, Firewire)?

What type and brand of media (blank DVDs) are you using?

I can't guarantee any of this information will lead to a solution, but it couldn't hurt.

Oh, and what OS are you using? If it's Vista, you may have your work cut out for you. Versions of DVDA prior to 4.5 are not officially supported under Vista. Might work, might not.

i have the latest updated version. Its not even at the burn to DVD stage. I just select prepare so i have the files in a folder then i can use NERO to burn it.

I downloaded the DVDA 4.5 trial version and use it. It worked first time no problems. So i then uninstalled DVDA, deleted everything so that it was a clean install. Put the latest version on again and still i crashed trying to render it.

Im using XP Proffessional.
