Nope. Same box, different CD.

Did you get an orange box that says Vegas or a blue box that says Vegas+DVD?

Also, is it legal for me to use both Vegas 5 & 6 and DVDA 2 & 3?

If you bought all of them, yes.

When I bought Vegas 5 and DVDA 2 I bought the production suite in the blue box. When I got the upgrade all my serial numbers was faxed in to the place they told me to fax them in. When they sent me the upgrade, there was no box, it came in a shrinkwrapped package inside an envelope which contained the vegas 6 user manual, keyboard Commands, the sampler cd and some info on Boris FX.

As for the other question I asked, I bought the production suite but the upgrade to the newer version was free. So, can I still use both or no?

Call or e-mail Sony. Sounds like you were sent the wrong package, though I don't know all the details of your transaction. I'm guessing you bought Vegas 5 / DVDA 2 recently, and they gave you the free upgrade because of that? If so, surely you were supposed to get the full production suite of the new version.

Actually, before you do anything, click My Accounts up at the top of this forum, and then click My Software. They might have your 'order" for the new version(s) there. See if they list Vegas & DVDA or just Vegas. If both are listed, you might just be able to download DVDA from there.

As for the other question...that's a good question. If you buy both versions, you get to use both versions. But if you get the free upgrade (as I describe above), I would guess you really "bought" the new version, not the old one. Or something. Only Sony could say for sure, so you should probably ask them about that, too.

A Sony rep might answer your question(s) here, but you're more likely to get a response by contacting them directly; this is more of a user-based forum.
