OK - Using Sony Vegas Movie Studio 9 plus DVD Arch 4.5. Latest verisons (just bought them, digital download, this past week.)

Edited a simple 1 hour video in Vegas, 720x480, no problem. Rendered fine. Hit the Make Movie button and went through the steps, it asked then if I wanted to send the project to DVDA to burn, I said yes.

DVDA opens, I hit Burn Disc, plenty of room on DVD, hundreds of gigabytes free on drive, freshly defragged. It sits as if it is not responding, but I waited a while and eventually the program goes to the next step. It says something like "Checking subtitles and something" in the dialog box, gets to 100% quickly - then just sits there. No indication it is doing anything but hanging, at 100%, but the "next" button is dimmed out, so I can't keep going. Eventually I checked, task manager says unresponsive.

Tried 3 times, same results.VERY frustrating - just moved to Sony Vegas and DVDA from Pinnacle and Magix.

Burner is fine, works fine in other apps. Uninstalled those and reinstalled Vegas and DVDA just to ensure no conflicts. Quicktime is up to date, Windows XP with latest SP3 updates. Burner works fine and has latest drivers.

I'm about to ask for my money back, Sony support simply says things like "Reinstall Windows XP" - I'm a very experience PC user and writer in the industry, and the support suggestions are not helpful/
