I'm trying to put multiple bitrate AVC files (encoded from vegas actually) onto a single BD disk (4.7 gig media for now). purp0se is to test my content at different bitrates.
having trouble getting DVDA to accept multiple bitrates on a single disk - not sure if I create separate menus for them will it create separate title sets for them? (does that concept exist in a BD?). recompress shows as mandatory on the optimize disk.
at first, I thought I caused the problem by putting an mpeg2 file on there too (which is my source) but when I delete that from the disk I still can't seem to put mult. bitrate AVC files on a BD.
project properties are BD, 720x460 60i, default bitrate 3mbps (yes it's low, but on purpose).
the odd thing is that on the recompress required, the message tells me to put an appropriate mpeg2 file on the disk to avoid recompress - seems like the wrong error msg since the disk default is set to AVC, not mpeg. Maybe this error msg is wrong too, not sure.
fwiw I am encoding outside DVDA, (when I tried to let DVDA encode the content, the encode times were ridiculous - over 3 hours for 30 mins of source - I can encode much more quickly with much more control outside DVDA)
any suggestions appreciated - thank you!!!!!!!!
