DVDA 5 not using full processor power

As I'm writing this DVDA 5 is encoding a video that I exported from Vegas in Huffyuv at 1920x1080 to AVC at the same resolution. I'm puzzled because it's only using between 40 and 49% of processing power, according to Task Manager. Of the four cores, the first three are even at around 35% and the fourth one is working around 70%. I would post a screenshot but this forum is very basic and doesn't allow for that.

Does anybody have the same occurrence? When Vegas compresses to 1440 AVC it uses almost full processing power, so something is wrong with DVDA 5, or maybe something needs to be tweaked. It would be great if other people here did a test prepare with DVDA 5 using 1920x1080 AVC, and monitor Task Manager so we can compare.

yes it does: Forum Markup

Most forums don't allow you to upload pictures to save bandwidth.

but DVDA has never used cores as efficiently as Vegas. That's why most people use Vegas to do ALL encoding. But also unless the encoder is written to take advantage of multi-core, it wouldn't help anyway.

So encode in Vegas to make it go faster. Or if you really don't care about time, use DVDA & go on vacation. :D

The reason why I use DVDA to do the encoding is because if I encode to 1920x1080 AVC in Vegas, DVDA doesn't accept the file. I hope they fix that in the next release, because it would make things so much easier. I just had to buy a 640 GB drive just to be able to export from Vegas to Huffyuv or some other lossless codec and then let DVDA do the encoding into AVC.

I read the Forum Markup link you posted, but it should be easier than that, just uploading the screenshot like many forums allow, rather than having to upload it to some other page and then link it with a tag.
