DVDA 6.0 Crashes when preparing 3D blu-ray

Just tried to build a 3D Blu-ray with chapter menus and subtitles and it crashed with

File name: N/A
Status: Vegmuxdw.dll::CExtensionData::Parse_STNTableSSForPlayItem::Invalid item count --- <number_of_PG_textST_stream_entries> in STN_table_SS

Has any one seen this before.

Regards Trevor

What Render As settings did you use when you output the video from Vegas?

(For best results, you should never use video directly from a camcorder in DVD Architect.)

Here's what I get when I use another professional AVC (.264) encoder, using a bluray profile. DVD architect 6.0 (latest build) accepts the video and puts a check mark next to it, indicating that it doesn't even need to be re-encoded.

BUT - when passing 50% of the "bulding bluray", I get this error:

File name: 00001.m2ts
Status: Vegmuxtw.dll::CTSWrapper::ProcThreadMain::This program has a bug. - m_ptsOfNextGOP is empty.

I also experienced this bug in DVD architect 5.2 and someone mentioned that the muxer in DVD architect was in fact a somewhat old version, not supporting the newer bluray profiles (higher bitrates etc.)

Are we going to see an update? This is a standard 2D 1920x1080 disk...

The video was encoded as mvc 1920x1080p 23.976 fps 25mb/s. This is the best quality Vegas Pro 12 does for mvc encoding.

I think the problem is due to the subtitles. If I remove the subtitles everything works ok. I am not sure if you can have a 2d subtitles on a 3D stream. The release notes should say so if they are not supported.

What encoder are you using and what is your format. Blu-ray has all sorts of restrictions on the stream.

I used a profesional encoder from a local media house (so not Vegas), but they insist that the stream is .264 / bluray compliant.

For what I have been able to "Google", it seems that the culprit IS DVD Architect. The last comment on this page says it all...

"not all parameters are supported". From the amount of Google pages...a few more might be nice to have added. Unfortunately, I have used up all options in the encoder, so no HQ encoding for me :-(
