DVDA 6 menu order

I've been looking and can't find what I'm looking for so it may not be possible but want to check for sure.

I have a project which has 10 menus in it which shows in the project overview window.

lets call them menus 1-10. Now I found a came across a problem and need to reorder these menus is there a way to do that?
for instance move menu 3 in between menu 7.8 and 9 which it would make it the new menu 8 and moving the original menu 8 to say menu 3's position.

By the way I'm not talking about menu pages but menu's themselves.

I hope this isn't confusing!

Hi Brad,

@ "By the way I'm not talking about menu pages but menu's themselves.

Yep....I'm confused!

On a page you can have things like a video or music, link to another page, secene selections, etc.

Each page is somewhat of a menu, but they are called pages. Can you explain in more detail, or perhaps post a screenshot or two?

Can you drag a menu in the overview pane?

The OP is talking about menus created - not page order within menu.

It would be a little hard to understand what you are trying to accomplish.

You will always have at least one parent menu - the so-called main menu - this should be arrived at by the 'first play' flag or running thru an opening video which delivers end user the main menu.

Then you may have sub-menus which should branch from the main menu - AND you may also have sub-menus that branch from the sub-menus that are off the main. Usually the order of navigation would be the priority of how the end-user chooses hot-buttons that navigates thru this... but in authoring the overview tree pane can show you which sub-menu is at what place in the authoring plan.

Are you referring to the buttons on the menu page?

He says that he has a list of menus in the overview pane and he wants to reorder them.

One menu must be designated as first to be called. How are the subsequent menus called if not by buttons on the first menu?

Each menu could have previous and next buttons with links as appropriate. These links can be reassigned at will. The order of the menus in the overview window would be unimportant.
