I always render out MPEG2 without audio and then a separate audio file using the "48,000 Hz, 16 Bit, Stereo, PCM" template for Wave. DVDA always re-renders this audio. What am I overlooking? Thanks.
Yep, that did it. Thank you. I guess I thought "Automatic" in the audio format menu meant that it would retain the format of the audio file unless, perhaps, for space reasons it needed to convert to AC-3. What does "Automatic" mean?
If the project's video format is PAL, automatic sets the audio format is PCM Stereo. If the project's video format is NTSC, automatic sets the audio format to AC-3 Stereo...unless the media asset contains surround audio, in which case it is set to AC-3 Surround.
