UPDATE: I think it's the DVD player. It doesn't do it when I tried using the PC dvd player

every set top dvd player I've used does this. you're using ac3, right? Seems to be the decoding process. when I've used wave it doesn't happen (at least it never used too. haven't done a wave DVD since I got Vegas 6 +DVDA)

UPDATE: Sorry no the audio in the menu is MP3.

It's a pretty annoying nuance. Thankfully it doesn't do that for the source footage, but only audio in the menu...

Not not on the final DVD it's not. DVD Architect won't produce a DVD with MP3 (or MP2) audio. If you gave DVD Architect an MP3, it converted it to AC3 or PCM WAV (depending on your project settings).

It's possible (though not particularly likely) that something got screwed up during the conversion (especially if your original MP3 uses a variable bitrate). For best results, encode your audio to the proper format before bringing it into DVD Architect. If your project is set for AC3, use AC3. If your project is set to PCM WAV, use PCM WAV.

Thanks. Yeah. I just imported an mp3 song as background audio in the menu. I don't have any music files in .AC3 or .WAV formats. I really don't know why it doesn't load the first few seconds properly regardless of it converting it to ac3 or wav.
