I just upgraded to VMS 10 and DVDA 5 so that I could burn BD DVD's. But DVDA doesn't see my BD drive, only my DVD/CD drive. Is ther something I need to do to get it to recognize it? VMS doesn't seem to see it either.
Is your drive an internal drive or is it connected externally?
What operating system are you using? Is it the 64-bit version of Windows 7 by any chance? Was it the original OS installed, or did you upgrade it from, say, Vista?
It's an internal drive, on a gateway i5 machine. I have both DVD/CD and a BD drive. Running W7 64 original. And looking I do see I have Nero though I don't remember using it
Nero does have a tendency to hide disc drives from other programs.
Rather than doing something drastic like uninstalling it, however, I'd recommend you just create Prepared Files in DVD Architect and then use Nero to burn them to a disc.
Trying to re-configure your computer to force Nero to let go of the drive can drive you crazy!
I had DVDA create a 19.2 gb .iso file, and tried to have Nero (9) burn a dvd. It still doesn't work. It claims the disk is not large enough. I'd be tempted to uninstall Nero, if I thought that would solve the issue of DVDA 5 recognizing the BD drive.
Egentor - over on the 2 gig memory topic some folks are asking for your source for VNS 10 files to alter - if you would be so kind as to visit over there, it would most appreciated...
