DVDA Doesn't Recognize .SUB File

Prior to getting DVDA, I had been using a product called Media Subtitler to facilitate making subtitles. This product lets you open a pre-made text file and video and set the time by just clicking the mouse at each point you want to move to the next subtitle "chunk." It outputs to many subtitle formats including .SUB.

BUT ... DVDA doesn't recognize this .SUB as valid ... I get an 'unknown' error.

I guess all .SUB files are not created equal.

Any clues?

Thanks!

I might have just answered my own question. I took another look at the list of subtitle formats Media Subtitler saves to, and there are five different formats that use the .SUB file extension.

MicroDVD.sub
SubViewer1.sub
SubViewer2.sub
DVD_Subtitle.sub
SonicDVD.sub

SonicDVD appears to be what DVDA uses.
