DVDA Installation Reminders

At last, I had received my boxed copy of VV4+DVDA packaged just now....I had ordered it before March 15 deadline....just received it now my goodness!!! Just imagine how much time i lost!!!

Anyway I am ready to install it anytime from today but I really want to get info from you guys how is the best way to install it. I might avoid some buggy issues i read from this forum if I will do the necessary actions before and after installation.

Do I need to configure some parameters in the OS...WIN XP Home Ed?
Is there any other softwares that i need to avoid which might affect DVDA's performance?
I read a few buggy issues here regarding DVDA. Is there any update available now?
What is the best approach in updating.
I find few users who are not satisfied with the product... it makes me a bit uneasy now.... I just hope SOFO will fix them ASAP.

Will anybody remind me of the best actions i can make before/after installation.

Thanks
rllagas

I didn't do anything special to install it - just put the CD in and away it went. 1.0b has been released; it's in the download section of the web site. It installed right over my 1.0a without problems.

DVDA seems to co-exist fine on my system with DVDit!

Initially I found the user interface took a little getting used to. I miss some of the functionality that DVDit! provides (end actions is the main one), but DVDA is much more stable than DVDit! Personally, I do like the AC3 support.

Kudos to SonicFoundry. I just switched over from the Pinnacle DV500 system with Impression DVD Pro, and I'm so thankful to be able to wipe that clunky system off my HDD.
Vegas and DVDA installed and save for one forgivable thing, have operated flawlessly. I'm so happy with this software!
