Nope. I've gotten over the 'not doing anything else' extra cautious mode for example when burning a DVD or even just building the image filesor rendering. Its been full speed ahead, 5-6 apps all going at once. No problems here.

Neither Vegas or DVD-A slows my system down at all. If it slows yours down, something isn't as it should be.

What's wrong.... now that's a good question. ;-)

Even my Athlon 550 mHz, XP Pro has no problems with either DVD-A or Vegas 4 during rendering or post. Did you change the priority in task manager by chance to higher than "normal" by chance?

I don't think so. I have XP Pro as well. Odd that this would only show up in DVDA. There is a lot of disk activity when DVDA exits, and this also locks me out for 10-15 seconds. I think I'll check the paging file and that neck of the woods to see if something is corrupted.
