DVDA or Vegas sync issues

I'm on Vegas 5.0.x (last version) and DVDA 2.x (last version). Here's my problem. I'll render MPEG2 and AC3 off the timeline in Vegas, then pull the resulting files into DVD Architect. Everything is fine. Then I'll go back into Vegas, make some content changes to the picture part of the project- no changes for time, just content- then render picture onlm keeping my previous AC3 file. Now I have 2 versions, and in Vegas all sync is maintained (which is important, sinc I cut to music) and the 2 versions are identical for time but slightly different picture. When I put the old AC3 file up against the new picture in DVDA, I have a sync offset. I have to go backinto Vegas and render a new AC3 file, then bring THAT into DVDA and sync is fine again.

1. Why is this happening?
2. Is there any way in DVD Architect 2.x to offset audio against picture?

I don't know whether this is an issue with how Vegas renders each file and then links them in DVDA, or whether you might possibly have accidentally moved something in Vegas.

Either way, my recommendation is to simply re-render the AC-3 file. Even for a two hour project, this should be less than 15 minutes.

This is what I've been doing. However, when I've made changes in the audio track, it becomes a time consuming problem because picture has to be completely re-rendered as well.

Hmmm. I'd click on the support link above and send a report to Sony tech support. I don't think this is supposed to happen. I've definitely made changes to the audio without re-rendering the video and not had sync issues. A lot may depend on what project settings you are using.
