DVDA Printing the Manual Problem?

I'm getting "spurious" printing characters printing from the PDF to either an HP colour deskjet or laser jet. I'm printing from the PDF viewing screen. Strnge thing is that if I "elect" to print the image intead of the pages not a problem .. . I suppose that isn't so strange as I'm printing the image .. not a "text" file .. . Anybody else had this . .. OR better still a cure?

Is your printer postsript capable? 1 or 2?
PDF reader or full writer software?

Thank you . . . I've printed PDFs without any issues before!

How do I found out if it is PS or not . .What is 1 or 2? . . I'm using Acrobat Reader . . do any of these "items" rule me out of printing successfully? I've printed PDFs before . .I've even successfully printed out the Vegas 4 manual .. 630 pages onto the same HP Deskjet?

You've asked me questions . . what answers would assist me in getting this to work? Now you know the answers please assist me in getting a printing solution!

. . oh yes . . When I "Preview" the areas that are printing these silly characters they are seen there too! They can be seen in the preview . . .

I have a HP Laser with postscript and it would not print type 2 documents without adding additional memory.

Try printing one or two pages at a time to see if it is a memory isssue.

Make sure you are using the latest PDF viewer. The first release of version
6 had many bugs. That is the only thing I can think about that would cause
the preview to show characters instead of an image.

. . . Guess what version I was "running"? . . . er . . .5 something . . .? Just updated to 6.01 .. or whatever .. runs like syrup through . . . something that syrup would run very quickly through .. . if you know what I mean . .RCourtney, you forced me to do some serious "housekeeping" ! It pays to be up to date - yeah?

. .ACROBAT version 6.0.1 is very good! . . . .
