DVDA Pro 4.5b Failed to Run on Windows Vista SP1

SVoBa wrote on 1/30/2008, 8:44 PM
I installed DVDA Pro 4.5b on my 32-bit Windows Vista SP1. The installation completed successfully. However, when I tried to run the tool, it barfed and came back with the error message:

The application failed to initialize properly (0xc0150002). Click OK to terminate the application.

Is this a known problem?

Thanks.

FWIW, Vegas Pro 8.0b fared even worse on the same Windows Vista SP1. It did not even install properly. See http://www.sonycreativesoftware.com/forums/ShowMessage.asp?MessageID=574544&Replies=16.

Am I wrong, or isn't SP1 still in beta?

Sp1 is indeed still beta.

[FWIW - I'm running it on one of my machines, and have no problem]

Do you happen to recall which build of Windows Vista SP1 that VP8 and DVDA45 work for you?

6001...

(no, I'm just teasing - "Servicec Pack 1 v.668")

So the Beta RC , not the Beta RC refresh

The issue has been resolved. Many thanks to the SCS development and support teams. Please see related thread in the Vegas forum.
