DVDA rerenders MPEG2 - why?

Captured one long (45 min) video into Vegas. Placed it on the time line. Split the media into three sections. Then rendered individual MPEG2 movies using the Main Concept DVDA compliant format.
Rendered the three audio as separate AC3 files.
When these events were brought into DVDA3c it stated that one of the MPEG had to be rerendered. Why would that be?

Had another project with one long video (60 mins oone long scene, no transitions and no effects) Rendered into MPEG2 and AC3 files. When placed into DVDA it had to rerender the audio. First time that
has happened. Any one know why?

What template did you use? if you didn't use one of the DVDA templates, then this is likely why it was re-rendered.

Used the same DVDA templates on the entire project. Thanks for the reply.

I'm having these HUGE long render times in DVA4.

everything get "re-rendered" yet it all fits according to the file sizes?

can anyone give advice on this issue?

The reason DVDA4 rerenders files is they are not compatable with the specs or they won't fit on the disk. If you rendered the files in Vegas make sure you use the DVD Architect templates. What are the specs on your mpeg and ac3 files? I have never had DVDA rerender a file.
