i upgraded my vegas movie studio 4.0 to the full vegas 5.0 but i continued to use the old dvda studio that came with vms 4.0. i noticed that there is an update file for dvda 2.0 which fixes a bug with creating dvds with a matsushita UJ-810 dvd writer (which is the dvd writer installed in my sony vaio). i assumed (incorrectly) that i could be pretty certain that sony software would be fairly compatible with sony hardware.)
i have read that dvda studio is based on dvda 2.0. i have burned a dvd but... i've only produced a 3 minute dvd so far and i have noticed (visually) that the dvd is about half written for the 3 minute production and burning requires about 10 minutes for every minute of video. maybe i'm being paranoid but i think this bodes ill for my 20 minute christmas dvd.
anybody at sony have a clue as to whether the same bug infects dvda studio and if so is there a work around or does sony intend to provide a patch for studio (like they did for dvda 2.0)?
