http://mediasoftware.sonypictures.com/dvdathemes/

There's a page there but the three examples are not downloadable yet.

Yup. You found it. Those pages aren't completely ready, but they're getting close. You should be able to download the new ones now. Let me know if you're still having trouble.

Thanks! I was able to download and install the new themes. I didn't mean to rush anything, but that url is printed in a SOFO catalog I received with a recent order so I figured I'd pass it along to the original poster.

SonicKSA, that's a great idea!!! I wish I could design something to post...will give it a try...

As for the downlowad, I actually have two files in the directory as posted in the download page: "_themes" and "themes"... the download instructions state saving in the "themes" file but I seem to have all my *.thm files under "_themes"...so just to make sure, which one should I install in??

Thanks for your help and creatvie talent!! (my daighter will LOVE the kids one!)

Sorry to appear so helpless, but I downloaded the zip files and unzipped into the themes folder into their own folder with the corresponding "name".thm. They didn't show up so I rebooted and they still don't show up. Will these work with version 1.0 or must it be 1.0c? Thanks.

You don't have to do any unziping. Just download the .thm file and save it to the "themes" folder, not the "_Themes" folder. The next time you open DVDA, it will load the theme and create the accompanying folder in the "_Themes" directory.

The .thm files should be placed in the "themes" folder. For some reason the other .thm files don't show up in the save window when selecting this directory, but they are there.

I had originally saved the .thm files to the "_Themes" folder and nothing happened when I opened DVDA. Using windows explorer I saw that the "themes" folder did indeed contain .thm files so I just moved the new files there and when DVDA opened the next time I had the new themes installed.

Rique,
Thanks for the additional help, but I must be doing something wrong or they aren't compatible with version 1.0. I just re-downloaded them and did just as you recommended, and they still don't show up. I haven't rebooted yet, if that is the problem. Thanks again.

You guys are right, the "themes" folder is the place to save them. Then the next time you start up DVD Architect, they should automatically unzip to the _themes directory.

One problem to watch out for - sometimes the web browser will automatically add on .zip to the end of the file. So you end up with a file called something like ACIDplanet.thm.zip

If that's the case, make sure to rename the file as ACIDplanet.thm and DVDA should pick it up. Hope that helps.

Cheers!

Glad you're enjoying the themes. Props for the kids theme go to Brian Orr, one of our developers.

Bob, I think I may have had to run DVDA a second time before the new themes showed up. Other than that suggestion, I can't help.

Rique,
Sonic KSA explained it...evidently, when I downloaded them IE6 added a .zip extension. I will rename them and give it a try. If I don't post right back, then that solved my problem. Thanks both of you.

Bob

PS. Yeah! That was the problem.

FYI: I think I've fixed the problem that was causing your browser to add the .zip extension. Happy downloading and uploading.
