DVDA V1 AC3 Re-rendering

Hello,

I have a short project with one MPEG2 video stream and one AC3 5.1 audio stream. The video was encoded into MPEG2 using procoder and the 5.1 AC3 from Surcode. When I build the disc it it re-renders the AC3 file. Any idea why?? When I've done this before using a stereo AC3, it just makes the VOBs and burns the disc without re-rendering anything.

Thanks,
Mike

Make sure your project default AC3 bitrate is set to 5.1. The default is Stereo. Go to File -> Optimze DVD.

I tried changing the AC3 setting to 5.1 under optimize DVD, but it still wants to re-render the audio file....

Check the bit rate of you AC3 file you get from Surcode. My guess is that Surcode is either giving a file with a strange bit rate or is tagging the file with a header for use in Premier.
