DVDA V1 Banding video

I'm running across another problem, but not sure if it's DVDA or another issue. I'm running DVDA V1.0 in NTSC widescreen mode for the first time. The MPEG2 elementy stream was created in procoder, then muxed to a program stream (tried both muxing with no audio and also AC3) with TMPGEnc tools muxer. The project is set to widescreen and dropped in the assets. When I preview the project, the video shows something like field order banding when the camera pans. This banding doesn't appear to happen when the program stream is played in something like windows media player. If I burn a disc, the banding appears on the DVD as well. I've also tried encoding the MPEG with the field order reversed and in progressive mode, but there is no change. Field order problems won't show on a computer crt preview, so I suspect it's a different issue.

I've succesfully used the same procedure and tools on standard 4:3 NTSC DVDA projects previously. Any idea what's going on??

Thanks,
Mike

Sounds like a procoder issue (unless DVDA is re-rendering, which youcan tell if it takes hours and hours to prepare -- also it will show in the File -> Optimize dialog).

Is the source 24p? Obviously it won't pan as well. On the other hand, if your source is interlaced, make sure you keep it that way: Don't deinterlace or go progressive. You definitely do not want to mess with field order, deinterlacing, etc. if you are ultimately going to show it on a regular TV set.
