DVDA + Vegas 6 with earlier versions??

I just received the Vegas 6 + DVD package. Since I'm in the middle of a project with a moderately close deadline I'd like to know if the new DVDA 3.0c can be installed without damaging the install of the first version.

I'd also like to know if I can keep my install of Vegas 4.0 running for a while if I install my copy of Vegas 6.

Thanks.

Shouldn't be a problem. I have 5 and 6 on the same machine. Be aware though that certain shared components will get upgraded across all versions - the Mainconcept encoder for example; when you install 6, version 5 will have access to the newer encoder.

Thanks Scott!

BTW, since you mention the encoder do you have any idea why when I drag and drop an AVI that includes AC3 6 channel audio into Vegas 4 I get both the video and the audio track (even the peaks rebuild OK) but I get no audio output. Tried both stereo bus and 5.1.

The only way I can get this to work is to extract two channels from the 5.1 using a utility and then drop that track into Vegas. Hopefully this will go away with the move to 6.

Thanks again.
