DVDA Video Turns To Black Screen

I opened DVDA 5.0 and right clicked on the blue menu screen which is the default. I clicked set background media and chose a motion video mp4 which is 45 seconds long. I then added an mp3 audio file to play. The audio is longer than the motion video.

I then dragged in my rendered movie from SVMS 12 which is around 2 1/2 gb. The screen in DVDA flickered a bit and then half of the movie file turned to a black screen in the timeline. I previewed the file which played fine and then everything went black.

This is a new computer, I-7 3930K processor with 64gb of RAM. EVGA 660 Ti SC with 2gb ram.

I don't know if the problem is the motion background with sound. I assume any motion file will work and it seems to for awhile.

I have made movies before that used a standard background theme in DVDA and had no problem. I wanted to try a motion background.

Any thoughts on what I can try?

Thanks,

Mike

A couple of things you didn't tell us:

-- What is your "rendered movie from SVMS 12"?
Complete render properties please.

"I then dragged in my rendered movie"
-- You don't drag your media to the Menu Timeline (where your background media is); it's not going to work. Media goes on the Media Timeline. Right-click on the menu icon on the left, and "Insert Media."

I did the insert media from the file menu and the same thing happened. The only flickering is on the timeline. While it is flickering, the video keeps changing colors and then goes to black. My monitor screen does not flicker. Could this be something in DVDA?

I tried to play the movie from the preview screen and the first 15 minutes play with video and audio. Then the screen goes black but the audio continues to play.

Use the MPEG-2 DVD Architect (widescreen?) template and render the video file.
Use the Dolby Digial AC3 DVD Audio template and render the audio file to the same folder.
Open the video file ("Insert Media"), the audio will follow.
