DVDA Woes

Having successfully used DVDA for the past year or so, I find that my last two projects have not been so good. Not so long ago, I upgraded to Vegas 5 and DVDA2, though I've reverted back to DVDA1. I also installed Windows XP Home Service Pack 2.

Basically, I'm unable to navigate to all the chapters from the Scene Selection page. An example of which would be my current project, which was initially rendered using Mainconcept with 2 passes. I then went back to Windows AVI when this didn't work.

I have a main menu linked to a scene selection page, which in turn has 17 navigation (text) buttons. The video is less than 65 minutes, so when I go into the DVDA Optimize section, I've selected a range of bitrates, all of which have been less than 8000, sometimes 7,900, other times as low as 6,000MB.

Whilst my client has been patient with me up to this point, I do feel that I need to resolve the issue ASAP.

Amongst other issues, can someone please clarify whether loading the markers from Vegas 5 ought to be good enough to set the scene selections, or do I need to add, for example the green Start Chapter flags from DVDA1?

Any feedback would be really appreciated as I'm now getting it in the ear from my client.

Many, many thanks and regards
Neil

Further to my previous message, I forgot to add that I only use DVDA to author my DVDs and have used other applications to actually burn the contents within the respective VIDEO_TS folder.

Ok, I give up - what happens when you try to navigate to one of the scenes in question?

Whilst the scene selection appears to work fine using DVDA, it just locks up when using a standalone DVD player. I've tried three different DVD players, so I don't think it's an issue with these.

I thought it might have been a naming convention, i.e. Vegas only names the first 10 or so markers, then the others are blank.

Thanks
