DVDA2 burning MUCH slower than DVDA1?

Just burnt my first DVD tonight with DVDA2. I made a single movie DVD- pointed it to my MPG2 (which was rendered using the DVDA2 template)...only to notice it didn't automatically take the AC-3 file like DVDA1 used to do. So I went into the explorer and dragged the AC-3 file into the project window (area where you see your project graphically).

Anyway when I go to burn the DVD it takes 10 minutes to prep (which is normal) but then it took an HOUR to burn. I specifically chose 2x as I always do. I used to get 30minute burn times with DVDA. Wonder why it's taking twice as long?!

DVDA 2.0 has a bug that affects burning speed. See this post:

DVDA2 only burns at 1x on Pioneer A05

Sony has sent a test patch to several people that seems to fix the problem, and I assume this will be available when they release a bug fix. In the meantime, I burn all projects using Nero.

I have to say I am a bit dissapointed this time around with Vegas and DVD arch. I have been a customer for a long time and all previous versions were stable when first released.

This version has a lot to be desired.

I hope my concerns are unfounded and the acquistion of these products by Sony will be seamless. However, it doesn't look good.

I am not a happy camper.
