DVDA2 - Can this be done?

With DVDA2 can you have a graphic which changes according to which menu selection is highlighted?

e.g. Along the left side of the screen have a column of text links and on the right sdie a single graphic or thumbnail. As the cursor moves down the list on the left, the image changes.

No you can't. DVDA doesn't support "on navigation" commands.

Yes, you can, but it requires some work in Photoshop by creating various graphics. JetDV has a tutorial on this if I'm not mistaken. He showed us how it worked in Orlando. Looked great!

You can fake it by forcing the user to hit enter to go from one menu to the next, but DVDA doesn't have any "on navigation" ability (that is, you cannot author a DVDA project that lets things change when you use the right/left/up/down arrows to move around. This "look" is commonly refered to as the "Filmstrip Look"

DVD Lab (www.mediachance.com) has this ability.
