DVDA2 & end actions

Is it possible in DVD Architect Studio to specify "end actions?"

Assume that I have rendered four MPEG2 files and, using DVDA2, want to burn them to a DVD.

One time I will want them to play consecutively and return to the DVD menu after the last one plays.

Another time, I will want to return to the DVD menu after each one plays.

Can I control this in DVDA2 either directly or indirectly?

There are no end actions in DVD Architect Studio. There are in the full-blown DVD Architect.

You could do what you want in this specific case by joining up the four MPEG2 files into one big file, and also have them duplicated as individual files. Obvious problem there if you're running low on space on your DVD!

Good suggestion.

I did not mean to imply that I wanted both options on the same DVD. Rather, that I would sometimes want one (go back to menu after each movie plays) and other times want the other (go back to menu only after all movies had played).

I assume that DVDA Studio allows me to insert four chapters into a long combined single file so that the DVD menu allows the viewer to start at the beginning of each of my four movies if he so desires. Right? Will need to study up on that feature (assuming it exists).

Yes, inserting chapter points as you describe is definitely part of DVD Architect Studio. Only thing to be aware of is that once you drop the viewer into the chapter point the movie will continue playing to the end. In other words, it wouldn't just play the one chapter and then go back to the menu.

To have the four files play together you put the video files in a music compilation. It will play through all files then return to menu. So you could have individual movies on the disc that play then go back to menu and also the music compilation which would play all the files one after another then back to menu.

I believe that I read in the DVDA manual that you could set "in points" and "out points" for chapters. You may want to read that section in the manual and see if it will work in your instance. I don't have any experience in using this function, as I'm so new to this stuff, so I'll defer to the more experienced users on this forum.
