DVDA2 trashed V5 media pool

About 180 subclips I've been making disappeared when I did a test with DVDA2. I have a backup veg file from a couple of days ago and my notes so I'm not totally lost but I hope someone can help me figure what I did so I don't do it again.

I rendered 2 of the clips to try making a test DVD with DVDA2. Inside DVDA I added them to a menu button by dragging from explorer, previewed it, burned a DVD and exited without saving.

When I got back into V5 ( I don't remember if V5 was open when I was in DVDA) all that was in the media pool were the clips that I used in DVDA. The other 178 sub-clips were gone.

Any help is sincerely appreciated.

DVDA does not touch the veg files so something else must have caused that.

Are you sure you did not accidentally hit the "remove unused media from project" button in V5?

I'm pretty sure I didn't touch the remove media button. I'm going to try a controlled test this evening with a copy of the veg file to see if I can recreate what I did.
