DVDA2 vs. DVD-Lab

I'm about to purchase Vegas 5 and would like anyone's comparison between DVD Architect and Mediachance's DVD-Lab. I really like DVD-Lab (current owner) and would rather not spend the money on DVD Architect if it doesn't give me any advantages over DVD-Lab. I'm not trying to start any flames. I would just like some honest feedback.

Thank you

Very difficult to compare, each has it's own features/benefits

DVD-Lab has more creation features and flexibility

DVDA offers workflow advantages i.e markers in Vegas are passed as chapters, encoding of MPEG and AC3 (no encoders in DVD-Lab), built in preview and to an external monitor

The only way to do a comparison is download the DVDA demo and give it a whirl and do a full comparison

I would say personal preference is the biggest differentiator

I use vegas 4 and dvd lab.....
I would still buy DVDA2 just for the AC3 encoder alone
I didn't like DVDA1 but am in the process of evaluating DVDA2

My two cents:

Arch 2.0 seems to be a lot buggier than 1.0. Both Vegas 4.0 and Arch 1.0 work great for me (and still do). I am pretty confident that it is not my system. Even Vegas 5.0 seems to launch okay (haven't actually used it yet).

However, I attempted to install the 5.0 update and it crashed right before completion.

It just seems that this version was released before it was ready. If you really must have it, then it might be a good idea to wait.

I agreed. I tried DVDA-2 for a few DVD projects and currently going back using version 1. Too many bugs and hopefully a patch is coming out soon.
