DVDA2 will not recongize burner

I am very new to DVDA2. After I complete my project and go to burn, the burner does not show up on the list. Under options I have checked the function to automatically detect the drive, but this did not work. I have also tried uninstalling and reinstalling the program. I have a Plextor PX-712A DVD burner. Is this a compatability issue? If so, what burners are compatible?

Are you using the 2.0a update? Another user reports in this thread that he's using the same drive successfully.

I remember reading about somene (on this forum) that couldn't get DVDA to recognize his drive, then he did something simple that fixed it. But I can't recall what he did. :/
