Wonderful resource. I really appreciate the time and effort you took to do this.
For those viewing the Vegas 6 video, the first 32 minutes are mostly a review of the support for the support for HD and the various professional hardware and software formats. Also, a way too long demonstration of how (the return of) track presets works. Don't know why he spent so much time on that. Most of the presentation (other than the track presets) during the first 31 minutes is really just Powerpoint talking, and not much that you couldn't get from the marketing material.
Starting at about 32 minutes, however, he gets into the (for me) realling interesting stuff, such as nested tracks, audio/video re-sync, and a somewhat botched, but still useful, presentation of the media manager -- all very rushed because he was trying to close the presentation in time for the next class, but still very useful.
Thus, if you don't have 45 minutes to watch the whole thing, my recommendation is to drag the slider to about the 31 minute mark, and view from there until the end.
[Edit] Oops, should have posted this in the parallel thread about the Vegas training video. I'll post a link there.
A VERY special thanks to you, Jay and all the crew (that includes Sony of course) for the time, effort and trouble you have invested yet again for the benfit of all. It is such a great way to get to see the new stuff: priceless...and I must say I am very impressed with DVDA3 (moreso perhaps than V6!)
Thanks you soooooo much for making this available!
I found complete copies of both presentations in my Internet Explorer's cache. Tools/Internet Options/Settings/View Files. Just drag a copy to the desktop or wherever.
We will make them available for downloading "for real" in a little while (maybe next week)... just trying to manage my servers bandwidth utilization - which is more easily controlled via streaming.
Great job Liam and team ...
When you make the two streams available for download next week, would it be possible, with SONY's help, to also provide the NAB class files, so taken together they would make a good tutorial great?
Thanks,
Tom
The tutorial files amount to around 5GB... so something would have to be done to reduce the size significantly. Also... not sure if the content is OK to be made available to the public. I guess a question to Sony is in order. I do think however the same questions were asked last year... and we did not manage to get the files made available then.
