DVDA7: Having issues burning project. Error given.

Teagan wrote on 7/25/2017, 8:17 AM

I have a project that requires a DVD+R DL 8.5GB disc.

The issue is burning the project: Either I will go to BURN > Previously prepared folder (or current project) > and then select the correct burning options for my drive (disc info at bottom) > and then select between my 2 layer break offset options the program gives me (sometimes it asks if I want to do this automatically or choose if it must be within a title, and it always is for this project) and then I click "Finish." Now one of 2 things will happen: either it will burn flawlessly or spin/warm up and then count up the estimated time left at about 40+ seconds per second (at 0%) and the total elapsed time goes to about 10-15 minutes and give me the error below. The odd thing is that I can reboot and try again and sometimes it will burn flawlessly with the same disc that gave the error. It does this for every disc I've put in, either it's a perfect burn or I get this error and reboot and sometimes it takes 2 reboots but it burns perfectly after that. History of my drive is that it's a USB3 LG BE14NU40 (firmware 1.01) and I've only had 1 bad write/bad disc EVER in the many years I've had it.

Note that "C:\jenkins\..." is not a directory on my PC nor ever has been - it must be in the DVDA program files.

Sounds to me like your burner is about to give up.

I read the disc and made an ISO and CUE file and I'm burning them one by one with no errors with imgburn right now. It must be an issue with DVDA.

I personally always make DVD Folder or BD ISO image, so in case I need to burn additional disc, I can instantly do it.
