DVDA7 maxed out on memory due to being 32 bit... because 40 files

Hi, I am making a compilation blu ray disc of all my home movies from hi8 tape and I have reached a limit of DVD architect 7, the 3-4GB limit for memory because of it still being a 32 bit program. Source .

Now what would happen is that I would add my AVC files (90% are 1 hour and 1GB in size, some larger) at 3Mb/s each to the project and I can add about 30 into it before I have issues. The issues being the program hanging when I add another AVC file and failing to create a temporary .sfk and .sfvx file, after one loads in successfully all other images and files say "render failed", and some other small issues. Some ways I have extended my chances at success was initially increasing page file significantly to 10GB minimum and 25GB maximum, for overkill and that let me place a few more files before hanging.

The next issue was the program not loading my previously saved project, after a crash, and hanging at 72% and never going any further.

I had to recreate the project to advance any further with little progress and I've given up.

Game over for now BUT I have came across a possible solution and I need some tips on how to merge all my files into one and preserve the markers in all projects in Vegas pro 17. I load my AVC files into a project and I don't know how to load the markers from the file that is on the timeline (with the markers saved in the AVC file), if that is possible in vegas pro 17 in the timeline.

When I have all the videos in one file and have all the markers there I can redo my menu system to just redirect all my pretty animated thumbnails to the beginning marker of where each clip begins, in the huge 1 file, instead of having them each point at a new file, where the amount of files was causing the issue.

The problem is that I chose to add a marker for each cut of the camera, resulting in about 10-50 markers per file and I want to preserve all the markers without resorting to spreadsheets like in this page, which may be related to a solution, however intensive it looks, I got stuck at step 3: https://video.stackexchange.com/questions/24138/how-to-copy-markers-and-regions-between-projects-in-vegas-pro

Any tips for copy pasting all the markers from one project (in vp17) into another until my one huge file is complete?

EDIT: I found out how to copy the markers using the method on that link. I guess I'll leave this up in case there's an easier way.

@Teagan I had a lot of problems with DVDAS5 and 7 when I started authoring Blu-Rays, due to them being 32 bit apps. I eventually solved the problem by patching DVDAS5 with 'Large Address Aware'. I tried to patch 7 as well but this didn't seem to work, but you could try it yourself. I'm content with using 5.
