DVDA7 Won't Accept PSD File as Menu

Hello,

I'm trying to bring some menus I originally made in photoshop for Encore into DVDA7. No matter what I name the layers, the program gives me the error "Cannot create menu from this file. The file does not conform to the required specifications. Refer to the DVD Architect documentation regarding how to prepare layered files for importing into DVD architect."

Details: "This file has no valid layers."

I thought maybe it couldn't read newer photoshop files. However, it can import PSD files as graphic buttons.

Any ideas?

For context, my buttons are merely a highlight following text on my animated background. Presumably, based on the help files, my layers would then be:

button-01-highlightmask

button-02-highlightmask

Is this correct? I've also tried just "button-01".

You need to create a layer set. It is the DVDA help file.

I've tried creating layer sets, such as the following:

Obviously that wouldn't make a very useful image set to work with, but it should still import. However, it gives me the same error.

This is one I created that works correctly. I am using an arrow shape as a highlight.

That seems to work! I swear the only thing different is the background, but maybe it wants something for that layer even if I use a motion background in the actual menu. Maybe I didn't have things rasterized correctly? Not sure, but it works now so thanks!

I am only guessing, but I think it needs more than one group.

That seems likely, since I've added many more groups and layers in the same format and everything seems to work just fine. Thanks again!
