DVDAS 3 Having Problems Preparing Video

I just purchased SVMS+DVD Platinum 6 last week and have been very happy with this program. However yesterday while using DVDAS 3 (build51), which I really like a lot I found that when I prepare my video DVDAS is compressing the Background Media so much that it's washing out most of the picture I'm using. I have tried using both wedding themes that come with DVDAS and have tried some of my own JPG's. In the Wedding 1 Theme the rings are almost completely gone and with Wedding 2 Theme the flowers are also so washed out that they look horrible. I have tried changing the Background media properties with no improvement. When using my own JPG's DVDAS will make my fonts look like I've set them to Bold and brightened their color which also makes the words look unpleasant, has changed the frame around the button that starts the move to a lighter washed out color and has brightened or washed out the background picture I'm using to the point it's also unpleasant to view. Is there a place I've missed for fixing this problem. I'm still new to DVDAS so I feel I could have missed something here. When going through the prepare process I go into optimize and it says it's going to Compress the Background media at the default bit rate which is 8.0. I can find no way in this section or under preferences to stop the compression of this page. The complete video looks fine when running it in preview. If I could get my movie to look like the preview section I would be very happy. This is only a 400MB movie at a Bitrate of 8.0 so it's not DVDAS trying to make it fit by reducing it's size. I have tried making my movie with AVI and MPG2 files with no change in appearance.
I really like the ease of DVDAS and I would like to continue using it if I can get this issue solved.

Any help with this problem I'm having would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

Thanks for the reply j razz,

I read the links you provided and they seem to be talking about the same problems I'm having. One with video and one with a picture as a background. With both there didn't seem to be a fix for this issue. I would think at the least, if I used the Themes that came with DVDAS 3 they would turn out fine. There shouldn't be any issue with the background media being the wrong size or having to resize it for a standard (NTSC DVD 720X480) video with Sony's supplied Themes. I feel the same as the other poster if there is no way to stop DVDAS from compressing the Background media then this is completely unacceptable. Sony needs to come out with a fix so our background media will look the same as it does while we are preparing it in DVDAS.

Thanks again for your help

I think I remember a forum administrator contributing to a thread on this issue, but I think it involved selecting or unselecting the deinterlace box and it should fix the issue... or maybe I've just read too many threads on here : ) You can do a search for more threads on this topic... I would recommend posting to the Vegas forum concerning this issue and call it something to the effect of Menu theme brightness problem. You can also reference this thread in your other one to help.

I believe I have found what was causing my problem. It has nothing to due with DVDAS. I have been viewing my prepared video with power DVD on my hard drive and after going into Power DVD's configuration under the Video Tab then Video Enhancement , Use color profile was set to vivid, When I changed the setting to Original the video looks fine.
Hope this info will help someone else in the future as I have learned a lot today and feel a bit dumb.
